Robert Henry Charles (1855 - 1931) este unul dintre cei mai mari savanti biblici din secolul al XX-lea, fiind cunoscut in special prin traducerile sale la textele apocrife si pseudoepigrafice.

A studiat la Academia din Belfast, la Queen's College din Belfast si la Trinity College din Dublin. A obtinut titlul de Doctor in Teologie devenind profesor de greaca biblica la Trinity College. A fost totodata numit arhidiacon de Westminster.
