Andrew Samuels este analist jungian, profesor universitar, scriitor, activist si consultant politic. Este un clinician si teoretician foarte apreciat pentru noutatea si claritatea conceptelor sale si pentru profunda cunoastere a teoriilor psihologiei abisale. A fost presedinte al Chair of the UK Council for Psychotherapy si este cofondator al organizatiilor Psychotherapists and Counsellors for Social Responsibility si Alliance for Counselling and Psychotherapy. Lucrarile sale care au in vedere studiul psihologic al politicii sau teme precum sexualitatea, relatiile, spiritualitatea, psihologia barbatului si a tatalui sunt bine cunoscute si au fost traduse in 19 limbi pâna in prezent.
